Elvis, Justin Timberlake and Memphis

Justin Timberlake just recently made a very negative comment about his home town, Memphis, Tennessee. Timberlake stated Memphis is good for two reasons- “To get arrested or to get pregnant”. He made the statement in an interview with the London press, The London Sun. See at:

What would cause Timberlake to make such an unthoughtful statement about his home town, the city of his biggest fans. Why would he make such a derogatory comment about the place that has always welcomed him with open arms. Is he smoking too much California weed. Does he really know what he is talking about, or is this just the rants of his own immaturity.

Maybe he is disgruntled about the failure of his north Memphis golf course, Mirimichi.  However, sorry, but Memphis did not ask him to build a golf course in a major flood zone area, which is routinely flooded by high waters by the least Memphis flooding.

Timberlake ought to thank God every day that he was able to grow up in Memphis and had an opportunity to experience the soul of Memphis and the magnificent heritage associated with Memphis and it’s diversified community.

Elvis, the king of  “Rock and Roll”, was interviewed on national TV when he returned to Memphis after his tour of duty in the Army. He was asked by the national media -"What did Elvis miss about Memphis". And Elvis’ reply was, “What did I miss about Memphis.. Everything”. That was from the “King of Rock and Roll”. And never did Elvis say anything derogatory about his home town, Memphis.

You rarely hear a mega-star put down their mama or their hometown. Your hometown is in some way always a part of you, the good and the bad. Why put down any place that helped make you what you are. You can change many things, but you will always have your one hometown, with it’s good, bad and ugly.

Elvis knew this and despite Memphis’ faults, he never said a negative word about the city he loved.  Elvis, the king of rock, chose to live and die in Memphis, and here he is laid to rest, as he always knew he would be. Memphis is where Elvis became a man, where he found God and his peace, and despite all the places to which Elvis traveled, Memphis was forever his home.

Timberlake, drink your California green teas, smoke your happy weeds, but remember that Memphis is where “Rock and Roll” began, and without the soul of Memphis' unique forum for creativity and it’s many positive attributes, you would probably be flipping hamburgers at McDonald's.

How did Elvis Presley die, on the toilet? · Constipation Treatment ...

The rumor of Elvis dying while on the toilet is false. Elvis had a huge master bedroom upstairs. The bathroom is rather large as well. Elvis actually had a section of the bathroom where he would often sit and read books. His then girlfriend, Ginger Alden found Elvis’ body slumped over on the bathroom floor near the chair with books scattered about in the afternoon hours of August 16th 1977. In 1994, the autopsy of Elvis Presley was reopened. The coroner stated that there is nothing in any of the data that supports a death from drugsand that everything points to a sudden, violent heart attack.

Elvis’s bathroom was a large room that extended to a dressing room. He had a armchair opposite to the toilet,so it could be possible that he fell from the armchair and not the toilet while he was reading. His girlfriend and friends were aware that when he was in the bathroom he was sometimes just reading or taking his medication and not actually going in there to use the toilet.

The cook at Graceland recalled in an interview that she heard a loud noise from upstairs around 9.30–10am but she didn’t check up on what it was, because Elvis’s girlfriend Ginger was in his bedroom. Unfortunately, Ginger was asleep,so she wouldn’t have heard anything. When his body was discovered that afternoon, he had already passed away and had likely been dead for a few hours, because he had blue spots on his face.

The cleaner or his cousin cleaned out all the drugs that were in the bathroom and disposed of them before the paramedics came. However they left some of the bottles in the bathroom and even though they were empty, some of them were labeled, so when the paramedics arrived they would have discovered quite quickly that the death was drug related.

And yes he did have severe constipation, but the problem was caused by a very unhealthy diet and from all the downers he took, which he didn’t really need.
