Is there life on other worlds? Where is the best place to look for life in our solar system?
Most people think of Mars may be the planet most likely to harbor extraterrestrial life. Although NASA has sent probes to every planet in our solar system, the space agency has focused on Mars.
This is because Mars is the planet most like Earth that we know. And it is relatively close. Only Venus is closer to Earth and Venus is a hellish world in its shroud of perpetual clouds of sulfuric acid.
Venus’ surface temperature is nearly 1000 degrees, hot enough to melt aluminum, so hot that the ground glows in the dark.
Mars became the focus of our search for extraterrestrial life more than a century ago, largely because it was the only planet whose surface could be seen with groundbased telescopes. Mars has polar icecaps, like Earth, and its axis is tilted almost exactly the same as our planet’s. Mars has seasons.
Before the Space Age, some astronomers thought Mars was crisscrossed with canals, dug by intelligent Martian engineers.Close-up satellite views, however, showed that the channels do not exist. They were the result of eye strain and more astronomers eager expectations.
More than a dozen spacecraft orbiting Mars have landed on its surface, and even through its rolling rust-red soil. What they found is a barren desert where night temperatures regularly drop frozen at 100 degrees below zero. The atmosphere is thinner than the Earth's stratosphere, and is composed mainly of carbon dioxide.
Far from liveable conditions - for us. But there is evidence that Mars was once much warmer and wetter than today.Would it have once hosted life? Might some form of life still be present there?
There are microscopic life forms that live on Earth in extreme heat, cold, pressure, radiation and other conditions that would kill us instantly. Last year, scientists found a microbe that can integrate arsenic metabolism. At the bottom of the oceans of the Earth biosphere there are strange living around the vents of boiling water. And vast colonies of bacteria exist deep underground, where they never receive sunlight.
Could there be similar "extremophiles" eke out a living under the sands of Mars frozen?
Personally, I think the planet Jupiter is the likeliest place in the solar system to find life.
Unfortunately, Jupiter is also the most difficult place in the solar system to study. Not only is it more than twice as far from us as Mars, but Jupiter’s gravity field is immensely strong. The one spacecraft we parachuted into Jupiter’s atmosphere was crushed after less than an hour’s descent.

This coating, which has been mixed with oligomer molecules to lower its melting point, can withstand high stress under avionic conditions. “Initially, we considered various combinations for the coating to suit the aircraft operating environment.
Option: The protruding bones may be wrapped in aluminum foil to preserve their appearance during roasting. Rub: In a small bowl, combine the rosemary, thyme, kosher salt and pepper. Coat both sides of the racks of lamb with the rub.
Create a pouch out of aluminum foil (if cooking inside, use a foiled lined baking tray and roast in oven preheated to 350 degrees). Put cut pepper inside, drizzle with olive oil. Place on grill until skin is charred and pepper is thoroughly roasted. 3.
Remove pan to a wire rack and cool to room temperature. Melt semisweet or milk chocolate with butter and drizzle decoratively over top, if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. To serve, run a knife around edges of pan to loosen brownie,
Confirmation on behalf of the tripartite gas water heater copper ...
Recently, some media reports, many years, gas water heaters use copper water tank, was part of the manufacturers quietly change into aluminum. The article said the physical properties of aluminum is far less than copper, for the heater core components prone to problems. For example, an expert pointed out that the current water heater products, high temperature gas in heat exchanger temperature at the entrance has been able to reach about 1,000 degrees Celsius, and the copper melting temperature very much higher than the melting point of aluminum. Some experts on the aluminum heat transfer performance of heat resistance and challenge. Experts also said that because "so far not seen any report on the verification of aluminum," so that "Copper Heart" water heater a few years from the application view is a safe and reliable, and "aluminum heart" of the water heater indicators are identified to be professional. obd code readers Reports submitted for the various questions related to quality control expert told reporters a detailed explanation. "We have said on behalf of aluminum copper, aluminum is not that people think, but a titanium alloy added." Chongqing University College of Urban Construction and Environmental Engineering, Professor Wu Guofu told reporters, because adding different materials, alloys melting point will change, materials used in current products, its melting point at 650 degrees Celsius to 700 degrees Celsius, although no high melting point of copper, but also fully meet the national standards. ) Testing Minister ZHANG Ming-wei told reporters, national standard 500 degrees Celsius heat on the requirements of material fact has been well above the actual run-time temperature product. As the gas water heater is working with the water, so most of its operating temperature of 110 degrees Celsius to 260 degrees in between. There is indeed a high-temperature flue gas temperature can reach 1,000 degrees Celsius, but this is mainly due to product design lead to dry causing unreasonable, and if this happens, do not say aluminum, brass, of the same will be burned. According to reports, in the country, gas water heaters heat exchangers have been using the dip galvanized copper materials, gas water heaters used in the process, easy to emit large quantities of tobacco waste with heavy metals. According to the EU RoHS directive, the European Baptist prohibited the use of lead and copper heat exchanger.
