Registration underway for Red Cross Swim Lessons
STERLING - The Sterling Recreation Center will have registration for swimming lessons the American Red Cross Monday, June 27 to Thursday, June 30. This is the third summer session of swimming lessons with 24 different classes offered. Jobs will be filled on a first come first served basis and is expected to close early in the week. Entries will be accepted at the Sterling Recreation Center at 808 Elm Street. Phone in registrations are not accepted.Classes are held Monday through Friday just 5-15, but there will be no swimming lessons Monday, July 4.School hours are multiple start at 8:00 and runs through noon.
Private swimming lessons are also available throughout the summer. Get your children in someone on a single statement. Private dates and times of class lessons are the same as regular swimming lessons, but can be arranged at other times. Private lessons cost $ 55.00 for 10 half-hour or five lessons of one hour lessons.
Courses include a new "transition to independence" class for 2 years and through the level 6 lessons. ($ 22.00 for 10 half-hour lessons.)
A class for adults will be offered at 18 hours ($ 30.00 for 10 half-hour lessons.) Interested persons can contact the Recreation Center at 522-7882 for a complete list of classes and times.
